Pickleball is a sport in which two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications.
Our Overland Park location has six indoor and four outdoor pickleball courts.

These 1 hour lessons are tailored to the skill level of the player and the desired objectives. A Private Pickleball Lesson is the ultimate learning environment. The time is totally dedicated to the player and what they need and want out of the lesson. No matter what your skill level or goals, a private lesson at Chicken N Pickle will help you advance your game, hone your skill development and enhance your overall enjoyment of the sport.
If you and a friend or group of players with similar abilities would like to improve your game, then a Semi-Private Pickleball Lesson could be the best for you. Having a partner or group to share the learning experience certainly enhances the journey and provides a game plan to help each other improve. This format is especially good for beginners to get started learning this great game. Grab a friend or group and give us a call to schedule a time. We also will be happy to find another Chicken N Pickle player to match you up with, if necessary.
The 3 and A Pro Lesson allows a Chicken N Pickle teaching professional to play along in games which allows immediate feedback on shot selection, strategic decisions and court positioning. This is a very effective learning environment for all levels of players when working on doubles strategy and tactics. In addition, time can be dedicated to developing new shots and partnership development as well.
This one-hour clinic is offered every other Saturday from 9am to 10am. Located on 4 indoor courts, this class will teach you the game’s fundamentals and scoring. Whether you’ve never played the game or are a new player, this clinic is for you. Your $15 clinic fee includes a rental paddle to use and allows you to stay for open play afterward if courts are available. Make sure you wear an athletic shoe and come ready to learn how to play Pickleball!
Our Mission: Promote inclusivity, health, and awareness through active participation in adaptive Pickleball, in order to improve and foster wellness, socialization, and advocacy in all people with physical disabilities.
All skill levels are welcome. Onsite wheelchairs are available.

Joe is a former tennis player and high school/collegiate soccer coach with over 15 years coaching experience. He began playing pickleball at the Chicken N Pickle Overland Park location and quickly fell in love with the sport. Joe is currently a Selkirk Brand Advocate and can be found playing in many local and national tournaments.
Jack is a National Champion in 35 & over doubles, a 4-time US Open gold medalist. He’s also a 3-time state games gold medalist and the #2 ranked player in the state of Missouri.

Dave has been playing since 2017, is a certified instructor, and has been instructing since Jan 2022 at Chicken N Pickle.
