Newest Location Opening in Thornton, Colorado

Entertainment destination to feature pickleball courts, sports bar and casual, chef-driven restaurant

THORNTON, Colo. (April 13, 2022) – Chicken N Pickle – a unique, indoor/outdoor entertainment complex with a casual, chef-driven restaurant, sports bar, pickleball courts and a variety of yard games – has announced Thornton, Colorado as the site of its newest location. Chicken N Pickle will build its signature complex at The Grove, a 90-acre business and shopping center in North Denver at I-25 and 144th Avenue in Thornton. Chicken N Pickle plans to break ground on the three-acre multi-level Thornton property in 2023, opening to the public in the summer of 2024.

Established in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2016, Chicken N Pickle is a wildly popular destination for families, young adults and corporate gatherings. The company has since expanded to Wichita, Kansas; San Antonio, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Overland Park, Kansas; Grand Prairie, Texas; and Grapevine, Texas. Six more locations are under development including Glendale, Arizona (opening in 2023); St. Charles, Missouri (opening in 2023); Allen, Texas (opening in 2024); Webster, Texas (opening in 2024); Henderson, Nevada (opening in 2024); and Fishers, Indiana (opening in 2024). In addition to Thornton, the company has announced plans for a second location in the Denver area. “Our mission is to provide an atmosphere that fosters fun, friendship and community and we are excited to bring that to Thornton,” said Dave Johnson, founder of Chicken N Pickle. “We believe that bringing people together over a delicious, wood-fired rotisserie chicken, a cold beverage and some friendly competition can create unifying bonds that ripple throughout the community and beyond.”  Chicken N Pickle will join Cabela’s, Hobby Lobby and Burlington as anchor tenants at The Grove business center. Chicken N Pickle’s main dining area is spacious enough for corporate and social events, from lunch meetings to large rehearsal dinners and team-building events. Chicken N Pickle Thornton will feature bars, multiple dining areas on the main floor and rooftop dining with outdoor tables for guests. The venue will offer numerous indoor and outdoor pickleball courts and a variety of lawn games, such as cornhole, ping pong, battleship and Jenga. Using responsibly raised, antibiotic- and hormone-free chicken, the menu includes delicious, rotisserie dishes available in four different seasonings along with pork and beef sandwiches, as well as signature hand-cut fries and tots. Chicken N Pickle is committed to giving back to the communities they serve through philanthropic events and service-oriented endeavors to strengthen its neighborhood and beyond. In 2022, Chicken N Pickle supported over 2,000 charitable organizations, donated over $86,000 to local nonprofits through the Community Cup Campaign and put more than $235,000 back into local communities through in-kind and general donations and property give-backs.
