Chicken N Pickle’s National Expansion Efforts Reach Indiana

Entertainment destination, pickleball courts and casual, chef-driven restaurant announces new location near Indianapolis

Fishers, IN - Chicken N Pickle, the unique, indoor/outdoor entertainment complex including a casual, chef-driven restaurant and sports bar that also boasts pickleball courts and a variety of yard games, has announced Fishers, Indiana as the site of its newest location. Chicken N Pickle will join the Fishers District, located east of I-69 between 106th and 116th Streets.

Established in Kansas City in 2016, Chicken N Pickle’s original location has become a wildly popular destination for families, young adults and corporate gatherings. The company has since expanded to Wichita, KS, San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Overland Park, KS, Grand Prairie, TX and Grapevine, TX. Five more locations are under development including Glendale, AZ, St. Charles, MO (opening in 2023), Allen, TX, Webster, TX and Henderson, NV (opening in
2024).

“Our mission is to provide an atmosphere that fosters fun, friendship, and community and we are excited to bring that to Fishers,” said Dave Johnson, Founder of Chicken N Pickle. “We believe that bringing people together over a delicious, wood-fired rotisserie chicken, a cold beverage and some friendly competition can create unifying bonds that ripple throughout the community and beyond.”

With this new addition to Fishers, it’s estimated that Chicken N Pickle will generate over 700,000 visitors annually and create over 150 jobs in the community. Thompson Thrift, the master developer of Fishers District and the Fishers District expansion, is thrilled to welcome Chicken N Pickle as the latest tenant for The Crossing.

“We’re excited to be able to bring a community-focused, family-oriented concept like Chicken N Pickle to the City of Fishers,” said Ryan Menard, Vice President of Development at Thompson Thrift. “This will be a tremendous addition to what is being built at the District and something unique to the region.”

Chicken N Pickle’s main dining area is spacious enough for corporate and social events, from lunch meetings to large rehearsal dinners and team building events. Chicken N Pickle Fishers will be equipped with bars, multiple dining areas on the main floor and a rooftop dining experience, along with outdoor tables for guests. The venue will feature numerous indoor and outdoor pickleball courts and a variety of lawn games.

Using responsibly raised, antibiotic- and hormone-free chicken, the menu includes delicious, rotisserie dishes available in four different seasonings along with pork and beef sandwiches and signature hand-cut fries and tots.

Chicken N Pickle’s cultural imperative to the community is to give back, with many philanthropic events and service-oriented endeavors to strengthen its neighborhood and beyond. In 2022, Chicken N Pickle supported over 2,000 charitable organizations, donated over $86,000 to local nonprofits through the community cup campaign and put more than $235,000 back into local communities through in-kind and general donations and property give-backs.

“One of our key tenets is to give back to the communities we serve,” said Kelli Alldredge, Chicken N Pickle Managing Partner. “We say ‘our hearts are local’ because we support our communities through philanthropy and through our business practices. We are thrilled to become a part of the Fishers community and begin supporting the neighborhoods around us.”

The Chicken N Pickle Foundation was formed in 2020 and works in partnership with local health, wellness and relationship-building charitable organizations to build long-lasting solutions to address the needs of the community. In the last year, the Foundation has provided each store with $6,000 for the employees to identify and support nonprofit organizations in their area.
